Q: What Are Good Accesories For 2000 Honda Accord EX?
Help.. I just bought a 2000 Honda Accord EX (no v6) but i am gonna have it paid off by the end of this month. I Really want to add rims and neon and other stuff. I was wondering what the price would be to install red neon under it, and how much total it would be for 4 nice black 15'' Rims. Thanks and have the prices for both seperate
A: For the neons not sure on price but its a pretty easy DYI project and for the rims check out Tirerack.com you can see the rims on your car so you can get an idea of what you want and what it would look like on your car. Sorry really can't help out on the price best thing I could say is go to a custom stereo/aftermarket shop and get a quote.
Q: How to Replace the passenger Side Mirror (mirror only) on a 2000 Honda Accord EX?
I have a 2000 Honda Accord EX with a broken mirror on the passenger side. I bought a new mirror glass, and I need help installing the new glass into the mirror housing. The back of the mirror has 3 holes to match up with the electric motor. I applied some pressure to the mirror trying to "snap" it into place, but I didn't want to break the $50 mirror.
Please advise me on steps to install this mirror.

A: you are missing the piece that is on the broken part that goes into the holes between/
Q: Where can i find parts for my 2000 Honda Accord EX?
I have a stock 2000 Honda Accord. I'm looking to fix up everything about it. Body kit, lambo doors, seats, intake etc. Where can i find parts for my Accord?
Engine is good. Checked all that already. What sights would be good to buy the parts off of? I already check Andy's Auto Sport.
A: OEM Parts:

Aftermarket parts:

You should really just stick with performance parts and keep it clean (avoid lambo doors, body kits, spoilers, etc...it's a waste of $ in the long run unless this will be a pure show car). Honda's as it is have a bad name and to be honest, something like lambo doors on a Honda isn't impressive. Now-a-days it's best to keep the car clean and build the motor up because of Honda's bad rep caused by Ricer's and Fast & The Furious wanna-be's.
You'd be so much happier if you spent that $1500-$2500 on better performance parts instead of lambo doors and a body kit.
Q: 2000 honda accord ex v6 a good buy?
hi, i was planing to buy a honda accord 2000 ex v6 with 61000 miles on it. but i have heard that there are some transmission problems with the car. is it rite... also i m getting th car for $7000 is the price gud???
A: There were many faulty transmissions in Accords that only affected automatic transmissions and the problems were fixed by 2000. I wouldn't worry about that, however, $7000 is much too high for this model year with that mileage. Keep looking and you will find something similar for less or a newer model with fewer miles for your money.
Q: How do I replace the drivers side headlight bulb on a 2000 Honda Accord Ex?
There is a screw that holds the bulb in however on the drivers side it is not the easy. You have parts in the way.
A: The bulb holder turns and just pulls out on my '02, it should be the same. One is the bright, the other the regular bulb. You should be able to see the wires going to the bulb holders.
Q: How much does it cost to do the following on a 2000 Honda Accord Ex 4dr?
1. Replace rear wheel hub bearing assembly
2. timing belt, water pump and drive belts
3. Gas tank removed, flushed and reinstalled.
A: #2 was approx $675+tax I did last week at Honda dealership on my 99 Accord LX 4 cyl. I did with 115K miles on car. Runs much smoother than it did before.
Q: Can you collapse the back seats down in a 2000 Honda Accord EX Coupe?
I'd like to know whether you can collapse the back seats down so you can loads more stuff into the car?
A: i have a 94 coupe and they do and i had a 99 accord 4 door and they did so i think so not 100 percent sure since i was never in one but they should
Q: How much taxes do I have to pay on a 2000 Honda Accord EX?
I have to do my title transfer but I want to have an idea of how much is gonna cost me.
A: Depends on the state you live in.
Some base their fees on purchase price, others on blue book or depreciated value, and others on year of manufacture.
Bring $2000 with you. If you come home with change, you will be happy!
Q: Can you put a skyline R34 motor in a 2000 Honda Accord EX?
just wondering, if it was even possible, or what would it all involve.
A: No R34 long 6 cyl. rear wheel drive won't fit but Augustin the 5th say's it is possible? front wheel drive accord does not have enough room in it's engine compartment. Skylines are getting old these days they are illegal in the USA and because parts are next to imposable to find to repair them. I recommend buy a late model 350z you can buy parts for. 9 year old honda accord family car? 2003 350z sports car?
Q: How long is a transmission supposed to last on a 2000 honda accord ex v6?
A: well, that depends on how it's been maintained. This transmission has been a headache for Honda- due to a poor design with 2nd gear, these transmissions are not particularly reliable. most fail between 100- 150,000 miles, if not sooner. Honda has extended the warranty on these transmissions to 100,000 miles, just in case, but if you're over that mileage, be cautious. Any 98- 04 v6 Honda or acura with an automatic is suspect. Their manuals, and any 4 cylinder autos are still absolutely bulletproof.
Q: What is better for a 2000 honda accord ex synthetic blend oil or regular ?
A: Synthetic oil is used for high performance engine or high stress such as turbo charged, super charges, nitrous, and high compression engine.
They use synthetic oil for that extra layer of protection. A honda accord with a regular 4 cylinder engine, conventional oil should be fine. Or if you still want to spend that extra money, get the honda factory oil.
Or you can just keep up with the periodic maintenance and replace parts with geniune honda parts, you will enjoy your vehicle for a long, long time.
Good Luck.
Q: What's the best and most appropriate motor oil to use for a 2000 Honda Accord EX ULEV VTEC?
10w40 or 5w30?
and what brand?
A: ***Happy Earth Day 2008***
Amsoil SSO 0W-30: http://www.amsoil.com/lit/databulletins/g2445.pdf
and a close second, Amsoil ASL 5W-30: http://www.amsoil.com/lit/databulletins/g335.pdf
Amsoil was the first synthetic motor oil to meet API specs for automotive use in 1972. Since you drive an ULEV, you might like to know that Amsoil is the right environmental choice! With 25,000 mile / 1 year oil changes, much less waste oil is produced. Also the lower volatility(how easy the oil boils off) of Amsoil synthetic motor oil means lower tailpipe emissions. Finally, the uniform molecular structure(as opposed to petroleum oil's random particles) means less internal friction and therefore better fuel economy.
Good luck!

Q: how to clean my 2000 honda accord ex engine?
its a v4. how do i clean my baby? will water damage the engine?
A: Cover the alternator and distributor cap with plastic then follow this steps:
1) Spray the engine bay with water
2) Spray your favorite engine degreaser, I use blast or purple power or even Walmarts supertech and wait for 3-4 mins to let the chemical penetrates.
3) Scrub the area with sponge and dish soap-water mixture until clean
4) Spray the bay with water
5) Dry it with towels or used clothes
6) Spray your favorite engine detailer to make it shine (optional) I use the CD2 brand
7) Wait for few minutes and remove the plastic from the dist. cap and alternator.
***Things needed:
Engine degreaser, engine detailer, sponge, dish soap, water (duh), plastic bag/s, rugs/towels, time and effort!
Enjoy and goodluck!

Q: 2000 Honda Accord EX Codes P1166 and P1167 Manufacturer Controlled Fuel & Air Metering?
I had my emissions done and these are the codes that came up. What are the reasons for these codes to appear? Could it be the O2 Sensor? and if it is, how do I know if it's the sensor before or after the converter? I also have my check engine light on and my exhaust has an egg smell. Does that have to do with the codes that showed up? Are there any other possibilities? Any ideas or suggestions would be really appreciated!
Thanks!
A: I've checked out a Honda/Acura enthusiast board and seems to be either or both of these issues:
- Blown heatercore fuse (check fuses under the hood and under/next to the dash)
- Oxygen sensor (before the catalytic converter)
Check the fuses first since those will be cheaper to replace if needed. If the fuses are good, it may be your O2 sensor or a wiring problem.
The egg smell is because the car is running a little rich, taking care of the problem may help. You can also try unplugging the battery for 15 minutes to reset the computer.
