Q: Where is the park wire for the 2002 Honda Accord located?
I am installing a new pioneer avh-p4200dvd in my 2002 Honda Accord and I not sure where the park wire is locatedor where it should be connected to. According to some forums this indash cannot have the park wire connected to the ground wire. Thanks in advance.
A: I had a 02 accord. I didn't F with the park wire. I toggled it and went about my business. Suggestion? TOGGLE SWITCH
Q: What kind of system should I get for my 2002 Honda Accord?
I have a 2002 Honda Accord and I need help finding a good system for it. I want a little bump but not trunk rattling constantly. My friend told me either 2 - 12's or maybe 2 10's. I also need to know of any good decks to get put in my car as well. Any ideas how much this will cost? I live in Houston Texas if that helps any.
A: it depends on what you listen to. 12's are good for rap because of their abality to hit low. 10"s are good for rock and techno, for their ability to respond quickly to rapid fire bass. 2 desent 12's will run you about 150 and 10's about 120. use a pioneer headunit, they can handel bass without skipping. also with the trunk, if it vibrates screw out the black screws on the lid. most of the time the license plate rattels if so use a little dynomat. hope this helps

My 2002 Honda Accord recommends that I use 5W-20 regular oil. If I use synthetic oil, is it gonna improve performances? If yes, what performances? Is it gonna kill some other parts in the engine or cause oil leaking after switching from regular?
A: If you do that i think this an upgrade, so keep it like this for ever and don't try to down grade.

A: oh hell no. i know a honda accord sounds good, but there is too much milliage on there. there is proboly only going to last you till 200k. The price should be around $5,000 or less

I have a 2002 Honda Accord V6 with a 3.0 Vtec engine. i've changed the plugs and wires on a 2001 Honda CRV with 1.4 liter L4 but this car is much diferent. the wires are bolted down over the plugs and i cant find where they all connect.
A: The wires are fitted on coils,coils to be removed .
They are 10mm bolts.

The spoiler light on my 2002 Honda Accord died. I already checked the light itself, and discovered that it is a LED, and not a standard bulb. All other external lights appear to be working normally. Does anyone know if there is a simple fuse that needs to be replaced, or do I have to replace the entire spoiler light itself? I looked at my owners manual, and there was no standard fuse for the spoiler itself.
A: ALL electrical system (cars and even houses) have fuses. Without them there'll be much more electrical fires everywhere. LED have an indefinite life so if they are ALL out then it is probably not the LED lights. If you go to auto parts store, they have fuse checkers. But make sure that you have the brake light ON (foot on the brakes) during the testing. Or just visually inspect each fuse.
Q: Malfunction Indicator Lamp for Honda Accord 2002?
I own a 2002 Honda Accord (automatic) 4-cylinder, and four door. Recently, while driving on the highway my Malfunction Indicator Lamp came on. I waited three trips before freaking out about it , but it hasn't turned off. A friend ran a diagnostic on it today and said that it's probably something with the transmission. Any ideas or advice? Where should I go to get it fixed? I live in Illinois. Has anyone had this problem too?
A: If you're referring to the check engine light, then ask your friend what code he pulled out from the computer. You can google the code and find out what it means. It can be a simplse sensor or a bigger problem "Probably the transmission" sounds like he doesn't know how to read the code.
Q: 2002 Honda Accord Rattling at start up?
My 2002 Honda Accord (76000 miles) recently starting making a rattling noise at start up, if the car has been sitting for a period of time. (Could be anywhere from 45 mins to 8 hours). Once I put the car in reverse or drive the rattling stops. I had also heard a noise when turning left, but it is highly inconsistant at this point. The car is not driving weird by any means, it is just a nuisance to hear the sound.
A: Why don't you just climb under the car or take it to a garage and find out?

I recently got a used 2002 Honda Accord SE, and the clock doesn't light up when the headlights are on (and pretty much everything else does). Is it supposed to? Looking for some input from some other '02 Accord owners :)

I bought a honda accord 2002 yesterday, 2.3L ULEV engine, when ever I accelerate the car it is making a very high vroom noice, I ask the dealer he told me this is because earlier user modified the muffler and nothing wrong with the engine or anything else. But I doubt. Any Idea why car makes so sporty noice and what can I do to reduce this sport noice.
A: Exactly what the dealer said, it has an aftermarket muffler or they gutted the cat. Take it to a dealer and have them install a stock muffler.

Q: How much should it cost to repair a leaking rear main seal in a 2002 Honda Accord v6 4 door?
I went to the dealer and they told did a diagnostic for 75 dollars and claim that this is actually the problem. They then told me it would 1200 dollars to fix. Is this very overpriced? Can I get a good job done elsewhere for cheaper? Can I rely on them that this is actually the problem? Apparently I found out I had a leak while getting an oil change elsewhere, so then I went to Honda. Please help.
A: $75 to put the car on the rack and look is a rip. The transmissin needs to be removed to replace the seal, but depending on your location, that might be a little high. Sometimes seals dry out and turn hard, creating the leak. There is an additive that will soften the seal. Get a can of Berryman's Chemtool B-12 (Wallmart or most auto parts stores; $2.95). Add this to your oil and run the engine at a fast idle for about 30 minutes. Drain the oil and change the filter. There is a good chance your leak will be gone.
Q: Why doesn't my levels 1 and 2 work on my a/c and heat with my 2002 Honda Accord?
Just last week I noticed my levels 1 and 2 don't work with my a/c and heat in my 2002 Honda Accord. Levels 3 and 4 work fine. If I have the a/c on level 1 or 2, the a/c indicator light does come on. So I know I have power to it. But no air comes out of the vent unless I but the level to 3 or 4. I have a knob that selects my levels, not buttons. Would it be a bad relay? Bad fan switch? Bad knob? I would really appreciate if anyone had any ideas. Thanks a lot!
A: I am no mechanic but I have worked on many cars and found similar problems sometimes it is just the switch isnt gettin a good connection. But in most cases its just the Fan its self dying slowly
