Q: How much should I offer to pay for a 2005 Honda Accord EX-L with 49k miles?
I've been looking for my dream car for forever, and I think I've finally found it. It is a 2005 Honda Accord EX-L (leather interior), sunroof, 49k miles, black, perfect condition. They are asking $13,000, but I think I could get them to go down a little. What is a reasonable amount to offer for this vehicle? Is this a good deal?

A: offer them 11800 out the door (if dealership)and if they dont to sell it. walk. sit in the parking lot. wait till they come running out. :) if private seller you can go as low as 10000

Q: How many miles did you drive your 2004 or 2005 Honda Accord EX V6 OEM Tires (Michelin)?
I have a 2005 Honda Accord EX V6 (Sedan). The car still has OEM tires on it (Michelin). I am wondering how many miles typically you people out there have driven the car with OEM tires. Mine are at about 43K and they seem to be doing ok.

A: My '03 EX-L sedan got about 45k miles (90% highway) out of them... they should have been changed earlier. I think if you rotate them often, they can last long.

Q: how much will it cost to replace airbags in a 2005 honda accord ex?
I was in an accident without insurance. I picked 3 collision places to go to. These are the airbags that need replacing, passenger, driver, 2 seatbelts, front passenger side curtain and the one in the seat too. I just want an estimate because I don't want to get ripped off.

A: I checked four websites that all agree that a driver's side airbag is around $700-1000 and a passenger side airbag is around $900-1200. None of the websites mentioned the other airbags but they should be around the same price per airbag. Insurance companies actually prefer to call a car that has been in an airbag deployed accident a total loss because the airbags are so expensive to replace then you still have to add the price to fix the damage to the vehicle. EDIT: After checking a couple of Honda forums other people say they paid about $650 for the driver's side and $850 for the passenger side. One guy said that replacing both side curtain airbags cost him $6400 (that's two zeroes).

Q: How do I change the air filter in my 2005 honda accord ex?

A: You have to take the old filter out. Look in your owners manual for the location (under the hood ). Usually there are spring-type locks that you have to unsnap to get the filter box open (usually a black plastic box). Some have a wing nut. You could also go to AutoZone or Advance Auto and buy a new one and they will help you change it. It takes about 1 minute.

Q: 2005 honda accord ex?
i was wondering what you thought of the 2005 accord ex.(especially if you own one) i wanted to know the reliability, drivibility, and overall experience. and do you think it would be a good car for a 16 year old

A: That's my car! lol I have to say, I absolutely love it, and I've never had any issues with mine. Totally reliable and easy to drive. However, I think for a 16 year old, you should probably get them a little bit of an older car to start out with, because that thing is going to get majorly bumped up as he or she learns how to drive. If you are loaded though I'd say get it and let them learn on that instead of like a BMW or Mercedes or whatever.

Q: When I purchase a new battery for my 2005 Honda Accord EX with the V6 how many cold cranking amps should I get?

A: You can't have "too many" cold cranking amps in a battery. Get the highest number of cranking amps you can find for the battery group size that fits your Honda.

Q: 2005 Honda Accord EX V-6 Coupe?
I'm in the market for a 2005 Honda Accord EX V-6 coupe with around 30-45K miles on it, and I found a price from KBB (Kelley Blue Book) for around $20-21K. However, Honda World in Westminster, California is selling it for around $18K. If anyone can think of a better price, please let me know. =) I want the following options for this car, too: Leather Seats GPS Navigation System CD Player (Multi or Single works either way for me) Cigarette Lighter (No, I don't smoke; I want it to plug in my phone) Leather wrapped steering wheel Anyone who lives in the OC in California, can you help especially? Thanks. =)

A: The model you want is the V-6 EX-L which is the EX model that has the "L" for leather interior, GPS, 6 CD. All Accords have the '12 volt accessory outlet' standard; the EX may have two, one in the dash and one in the storage compartment of the center console. My son has the 2003 EX-L which is the same car and he just bought out his lease last year. The 'retail' value at that time was about the same as Kelly Blue Book is quoting. It sounds like the vehicle at Honda World is an EX-V6 without the leather. I used to work down the street from Honda World in the service department of Norm Reeves Honda in HB You may want to shop them as well. The used car manager there is named Ken (714-842-5431) He'll tell you what he has and what the realistic pricing on that car is. The EX-L V6 was only a very small percentage of the production so my guess is that there aren't many out there. Most that are have just come off lease and are desireable used cars. When you do buy the car, see if it is a Honda Certified Used Vehicle. If it is, you won't go wrong. Its worth paying extra to get one that is a Honda Certified Used Vehicle because then you don't have to worry about buying a service contract on the car as its backed by Honda for 12/12 for everything and up to 100,000 miles for the powertrain. hope that helps

Q: 2005 Honda Accord Ex at 100,000 miles what service do i need to do?
I have a 2005 Honda Accord Ex its at about 100,000 miles what services do i need 2 do? I have not done the 90,000 mile service and dont know how important that really is, i heard the 105,000 mile service would be more important. What do you guys think? Also the dealer is really expensive so i thought i would try this place http://www.premierautoservice.com/services.htm which i heard is really good what do you guys think of the #3 service on the very bottom, is it too expensive for the service they would do? Q: What versions of the Navi DVD will work on 2005 Honda Accord EX V6 Sedan?
I just purchased a used 2005 Honda Accord EX V6 Sedan and the Navi DVD was missing, I really don't want to pay the $191.00 + tax asking price. What versions of the Navi DVD's will work on my vehicle? I have a friend who owns a car salvage yard with several 05 Accords, but the Navi DVD's are all different, what version's will work on my Navi system? Thank You for your help it is much appreciated. Sandy

A: Try to find the newest one available. Here are the versions. 2005 Update=Version 3.40 2006 Update=Version 3.50 2007 Update=Version 3.60 2008 Update=Version 3.71 2009 Update=Version 3.80 The version number is near the bottom of the DVD label. For a particular version number (like 3.30d), the map coverage typically remains the same during the entire model year - usually only the letter following the version changes (like the "d" in 3.30d), as minor software updates are made throughout the year. You will need to find what version is already loaded because you can't go backwards in versions. When you install the disc it does install some info to the system that is how it knows if you are going backwards in version.

Q: How much should I offer to pay for a 2005 Honda Accord EX-L with 49k miles? Should I have gone lower?
I've been looking for my dream car for forever, and I think I've finally found it. It is a 2005 Honda Accord EX-L (leather interior), sunroof, 49k miles, black, perfect condition. They were asking $13,000, I offered $12,000, and they said they would accept that. Should I try to get them to go lower or is this a good deal? *Kelley Blue Book private party value for "good" condition is $12,885 Also, for anyone who is good with numbers: factoring in taxes, interest from a 5 year loan and everything else, AND if I put down $3,000 on it, approximately how much would $12,000 end up being in total? Thanks! ...As for the last part of that question, I'm also trying to figure out what my monthly payments will be approximately if I pay it off over 5 years... It is a private party selling, and everywhere else I've looked (dealers and classifieds), I haven't been able to find this vehicle for less than $13,000-$14,000. Are you sure $12,000 is too high?

A: Forget Kelly Blue Book. It used to mean something, but now it carries high, high consumer prices, used as a sales tool by retailers. With a hundreed thousand miles left to go on the vehicle, you will be paying 12 a mile, excluding the incidentals like gas, fluids, wiper blades, etc. Thats too much for this vehicle. Offer 8000, and DONT go higher tha 10K, and DONT pay any "documentation fee" or "prep fee" at that price. Always negotiate the final price, NOT the final prices less doc fee, prep fee, admin fee, etc. make sure those fees are included. Those are bullshit fees. Additional detail YES, sweetie. 12K is too high. And now that I know its a private seller, it should DEFINTELY be less. And if you're going to be buying cars like this on your own, you need to have a) knowledge of your market, and b) a little chutzpah. Offer 8K, and make sure you wring a counter offer from the seller. Dont take "No, price is firm." Come back "C'mon man, work with me a little on this." He's not going to want to because you have, , already communicated your extreme interest in this car AT THE OFFERED PRICE. You need to break that empowerment. "The bank wont give me more than 8K, but I can throw in another grand for 9K." Work the deal, sweetie, work the deal. You CAN do it. No more than 10K tops. Thats 10 cents a mile. No allowance for fancy stereo, tinted glass, fancy tires, etc, because those things dont effect the lifetime servicability of the car. Tell him that in so many words, he'll understand. If he says, like YOU just did, but all the other cars are priced at 12K, tell him "Those are just ASKING prices. Those cars dont actually sell for 12K." Speak your mind to the seller. And bite the bullet and walk away if you must. But you must learn how to do this like a guy, or you will be a "mark" like every almost every other woman, everytime you go shopping for a car. BTW, I just read Mathew's comments. Clearly, that is spamming fraud. No reason why anyone cant us a local bank, is there?

Q: what would be the kelly blue book value for a 2005 honda accord ex v6?

A: you can look it up on the kelly blue book site. kelly.com ,( i think ) you need to know - mileage - options - general condition

Q: Which to own? 2005 Honda Accord EX with 45,000 miles on it or 2009 Ford Fusion SE new
Honda would be a purchase w/ payments around $300/month. Ford would be a lease with payments around the same as the Honda... Both have relatively the same equipment. Thanks for your advice/answers!

A: Accord hands down, I own an 05 and they are very reliable. Not to mention can you ever name a Honda that has had continuous problems? You can for Ford. Also resale value will be much higher on your accord then the fusion(3-5 years).

Q: Best overall winter tire? I own a 2005 Honda Accord EX V6?
I will be using 205/60R16 sized tires on 16"rims I live in Maine so during the winter I encounter snow, ice and slush on a regular basis. My question is what is the best all around snow tire for passenger cars? I have had experience with Bridgestone Blizzak Revo 1's in the past and they worked great, especially for the price, but wore out very quickly. Right now my top choices that I am considering are: Bridgestone Blizzak (Revo 1 or WS-60) Michelin X-Ice Goodyear Eagle UltraGrip GW3 Has anyone had experience with any of these, good or bad? I am also up to suggestions of others, only if you have had personal experience with them. I would like to keep the price around $100 each, or less, but if you really like a certain one tell me even if it is more expensive. Others I have written down but have not checked out yet are: Michelin Primacy Alpin PA3 Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2 Pirelli Winter S2 Viking Snowtech Nokian NRW, and HakkapelittaQ

A: No winter tire will give you long thread life, part of the great winter grip is using a soft rubber compound which stays pliable in sub zero temperatures. Check the reviews at tirerack.com also check on Yokohama's they have a high silica winter tire. In my opinion the Blizzaks are the best winter tire out there.

Q: Honda tuner enthusiasts!!! I need help with 05 Honda Accord EX V6 coupe handling upgrade ideas?
I just recently purchased a 2005 Honda Accord EX V6 coupe with the 6 speed manual tranny and Navigation system. I am well aware that this car is no sports car and it is not my goal to turn it into one. While this car has decent power, it could really use some better handling. This is where I need your help. I pretty much have a list of items I want, but need feedback on what the best brands for each are. If you have any personal experience with a certain brand please tell me how you like/dislike it... Thank you in advance.. Here is my list: Springs- Don't want any more than a 1.5" drop Shocks Anti Roll Bars aka sway/stabalizer bar (front and rear) want polyurethane bushings Camber Kit or Bolts Big Brake Kit for Front and Rear Wheels- Either 17"s or possibly 18"s, must be lightweight, preferable black with chrome lip. Tires- want highest performance summer tire that is also good off the track as a daily driver tire. Any other items anyone would suggest? To Nick: If you read this, where can I find a Tien suspension for my car? Every site i look at only has it for the accord up to 01 or 03? Also how much do your rims weigh?

A: TEIN suspention Coilovers (yes you can find a 1 1/2'' drop for it) For rims and tires i have 17'' Motegi MR7s with Kelly Fierce Racing Tires... thts all i got...

Q: Just wondering if anyone knows how much I can get for my 2005 Honda Accord EX-L.?
It's got 30,000 miles on it and the color is graphite pearl (dark grey). With the rising gas prices I am contemplating getting a hybrid vehicle.

A: Check it in the Kelly Blue Book. ~
