Q: How to get a tool out of air intake hose for 2006 honda accord?
I was replacing a left side headlamp in my 2006 honda accord. I removed the air intake cover and dropped a wrench in the hose. I can not get my arm that deep to grap the tool. Is this a problem? Can I drive my car with the wrench stuck in there?
A: Not a good idea to drive with it stuck there. Though it probably won't go into the engine, it could jam the throttle open (stuck gas pedal) or damage one of the sensors.
Best is to walk down to a hardware or auto parts store and grab a long flexible magnet to fish it out. Or remove the hose and get it out that way, most are pretty easy to take out...
Q: If your going to keep a 2006 Honda accord 4 cylinder for a long time is it better to put super Gas.?
I Read somewhere that super gas is healthier for the engine if your keeping the car for 10 -15 years, apparently when using regular gas after many years crap builds up in the engine . I have 79000 km in my honda accord 2006 and I mix from super to regular, is it better if I just put super sll the time, what is the truth behind this.
A: What???? course not you drive a 4 cylinder not a v12 87 octane is more than enough to power the engine. High octane ratings is for sports cars or for cars with powerful engines. So no crap wont build in the engine you can add a bottle of fuel injector cleaner a few times a year to keep the gunk out.
Q: What Does A Triangle Light With An Exclamation Point In The Middle Indicate On A 2006 Honda Accord?
I have called 2 Honda Dealerships and one said it deals with tire pressure and the other said it deals with traction on the tires and if you are slipping or not. I dont believe either of them. I think it has to do with the tranny or something more extreme like that. Please help!
A: the light is for the VSA or Vehicle Stability Assist system. It indicates that the VSA system was engaged to help maintain vehicle stability. Once the light comes on, it will not go off until the ignition key is turned OFF. It does not have anything to do with tire pressure; that light reads TPMS when you have a low tire.
there is a switch for the VSA on the left side of the instrument panel. If the light is always ON, check to see if the switch has been pushed in to turn the VSA off. That happens most often by accident when cleaning the intrument panel.
The VSA will come on if you drive over rough roads such as those with potholes or if you drive on slick or icy roads where the wheels spin and the traction control engages. The VSA works by using the anti-lock brakes and a reduction in engine power to restore traction. In most cases, the triangle just comes on to alert you to the potentially hazardous driving conditions. It does not indicate a problem with any system; it only tells you the system was engaged or that the system has manually been turned OFF by pushing the switch in.
if the light goes out when the key is turned off and then turned back on then you don't have a problem--the system is working normally. if the light is on all the time and the switch is not turned off, then you have a problem that needs to be diagnosed.
hope that helps

Q: How can I make my 2006 Honda Accord Coupe sound better/louder and look more muscular?
It is a V6 with 6-speed manual transmission.
A: Add the basic bolt ons. Stick with the name brand parts if you actually want a good sound/look and a few extra horsepower. Also try getting some rims but not big oversized chrome rims.
1. Performance Exhaust (Greddy, Apexi, Magnaflow, Borla)
2. Cold Air Intake (Injen, AEM, K&N)
3. Headers (DC Sport)
4. 17' Inch black rims (Enkei, ASA)
Q: I was thinking about buying a 2006 Honda Accord COUPE. Does anybody know if the rear sears fold down?
Please help answer this.
A: Yes they do:) I own a 2007 Coupe. You can fold down the seat via releases in the trunk or using a key from the back seat. The seat folds down in two sections two.
The source is of a review of the 2007 coupe (which is exactly the same as the 2006) and mentions the seats folding down.
Q: Is it bad to drop my car? I have a 2006 honda accord coupe?
I was just thinking of making some custom changes to my car and I was wondering if it would be bad to drop my car about 3-4 inches? Would it affect how my car drive? and would it mess up parts in my car?
A: If you have never driven a lowered car before, I would suggest starting with the basic 1-2 inches. The newer honda accords are too heavy, and don't have enough horsepower to make it worth dropping it that much. dropping it 4 inches is like racetrack spec, it wouldn't even be street driveable. I would say just go with a standard 1.1 to 1.7 drop.
Q: How do you change the bulb in the headlight of a 2006 honda accord?
A: On my 1993 Civic, and 2009 Accord they are twist out bulb holders.
Both where Halogen bulbs, so be careful not to touch the bulb. Halogen bulbs burn very hot and the oil on your skin will cause them burn out. Either wear a pair of latex gloves, grab it with a plastic bag around your hand or by the plastic socket base.

A: The '04 & the '06 Accords essentially are the same car. Both are Honda's 7th generation Accord.
Now you wouldn't necessarily think that both years are the same car because Honda did a mid-model 'refresh' in '06, changing the rear end sheet metal mostly & minor upgrades (e.g., LED tail lights). Personally, I like the '06 body style better than the '03-'05.
Also, Honda juiced-up the 2006's V6 motor (J30A4) a bit, going from 240 to 244 HP. This is hardly significant since you'll only realize it if you're holding RPMs up around 5500.
Honda also introduced a 6 speed MT for the '06-'07 models. The V6 MT reportedly is capable of 0-60 times of around 5.9 seconds. (BTW, the new 268 hp 2008 V6 Accord is no faster).
Both are great cars, it's a matter of your preference for body style and which one best fits your budget.

Q: 2003-2006 Honda Accord Differences?
I'm looking to get a used Honda Accord (possibly). I definitely want one of the latest generation so 2003 is as far back as I'm willing to go.
There's a pretty significant price difference between a 2003 Accord and a 2006 Accord. Aside from the difference in mileage, what's the difference? What's the best deal given the choices between these model years?
I prefer manual to automatic transmission all else equal.
A: Go to Cars.com and click on "research cars". You can pick what year and trim line you want to research. It's very informative and gives you lots of details about each trim you can get. The Accord has so many choices DX, LX, SE, EX and the list goes on. That's why there is such a price difference between models of the same year. Honda is introducing an all-new redesigned Accord for the 2008 model year.
