Q: 2006 honda accord LX V-6, How do I make it faster ????
I WANNA MAKE MY HONDA SEDAN FASTER THAN WHAT IT IS RIGHT NOW, I NEED SOME SUGGESTIONS PLEASE !!! IT'S ALREADY A VTEC ENGINE..............

A: There is only two ways to make a car faster 1.) modify the engine or 2.) decrease the weight of the vehicle. Since I don't think you would want to gut the interior and go with full fiberglass I would suggest modifying the engine and the best way to modify a engine is forced induction i.e. turbocharger or supercharger. Since the Honda v6 has such a small displacement i would suggest a turbocharger.

Q: 2006 Honda Accord Lx V6, How do I make it faster ????
I WANT TO MAKE MY CAR FASTER, I ONLY GOT ON IT A K&N TYPHOON COLD AIR INTAKE , AND I WAS THINKING ABOUT UPGRADING THE EXHAUST ON IT..........BUT WHAT ELSE CAN I DO WITHOUT SPENDING A WHOLE LOT OF MONEY LIKE IN A SUPERCHARGER OR A TURBO??? WHERE CAN I GET A PERFORMANCE CHIP FOR MY CAR?????

A: the computer change the ECU and it will definitely put in loads of power into the machine. the stock one is restricted with many concerns like the max speed electronically restricted to 130mph etc.

Q: WHAT IS THE CHEAPEST WAY TO MAKE MY 2006 HONDA ACCORD SPECIAL LX EDITION FASTER?
I HAVE NOT MADE ANY MODS TO THE CAR YET. WHAT SHOULD I DO FAST TO THE ENGINE TO GET THE CAR QUICKER.

A: Only drive downhill.

Q: would these rims look good on a 2006 black honda accord lx sedan?
http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/1/3298/4161/8244580023_large.jpg the original stock rims on my lx model are so ugly

A: make sure the rims are not over 18 inches cause then they'll start affecting your performance, ride quality, pretty much everything. BTW you're gonna have to buy new pair of tires if you didn't know. They're fine, it would look even better if you had Brembo brakes (red calipers), spoiler on the trunk for down force, and 35% tinted windows

Q: 2006 Honda accord for $12000?
I found 2006 Honda accord Lx, auto, 23k miles for $12000. Though the vehicle has clean carfax history, I understood the car has minor accident in the past. Because, the seal of the air bag on the back of passenger seat is broken but the airbag already there folded. I guss that is why the dealer wanted to sell it for such a price. He agreed to fix it. In addition, the company warantty also is still there. I also want to go inspection before any agreement. What do you guys recommed if I buy it?

A: It's hard to decide whether the car is safe for long term driving. You should ask the dealer what type of accident it was in and which part of the car was hit. If it involved the front of the car, I'd say don't buy the car because there could be some engine problems (engine work is costly and its hard to pinpoint the area damaged). I was searching for cars last year and this year. Many times, the new cars that were sold for cheap had problems that needed major repair. But then again, if the car is still under warranty and your dealer agrees to fix it, it may turn out a good bargain.

Q: 2008 Honda Accord coupe Lx vs. 2006 BMW 325i?
i am about to finally buy my first car and was wondering whether a 2008 Honda Accord coupe Lx ($20,000) would be a better choice than a BMW 325i 2006 ($20,000)....i know bmw's are much nicer than the hondas but wat are the pros and cons of each. thanks the bmw has 40k miles and the honda has 15k miles

A: If BMW has low milage then go for BMW. Not more than 30K As BMW is already 40K, and Honda has only 15K, I would go for Honda. It still has the 3 year 36,000 warranty and if any problems occurs, it will be covered in factory warranty.

Q: Will 20 inch rims fit a 2006 Honda Accord 4-cyl Lx coupe?

A: Why would you waste your money on 20s for a POS 4 cylinder? Spend the money on a real car.

Q: Should I change my honda accord's muffler?
I have a Honda Accord 2006 lx and I want to change the muffler to improve the sound. I don't want to change the whole exhaust because I don't want to waste much money. I just want to improve the sound. im thinking of buying those mufflers on ebay.. do you think its a good idea?

A: No, it's not a good idea. You will gain nothing. If money matters, wait until you can do the whole thing or it needs it and then you can do it right.

Q: honda accord oil pump research help?
I'm doing a research project on the Honda accord LX 2006 and I have a few questions... i tried looking it up but i couldn't find anything. first question: what system is the oil pump located in? second: whats its function? third: what happens when it stops working? fourth: how much would a brand new oil pump cost (Honda store value)? fifth: how much would labor cost to get it installed ( from Honda manufacturers, etc...)? if someone could please help me out it would be greatly appreciated and of coarse best answer WILL BE rewarded 10 pts. thanks! P.S.: the parts and labor price need to be separate, and researched at any official Honda website, or dealership... Thanks again!

A: The oil pump is in the 'engine lubrication' section of any service manual. The purpose of the oil pump is to circulate the engine oil from the crankcase at the bottom of the engine by pumping it up to the top where the cylinder head and valves are. The oil is also pumped to the connecting rod bearings of the crankshaft to keep them lubricated. Without oil pressure from the oil pump the oil would not circulate and lubricate the internal moving parts of the engine. if that happened, the engine would develop excessive heat and eventually seize. additionally, the camshaft would wear and the connecting rod and main bearings of the pistons would wear, seize or spin. the labor depends on what engine is in the Accord. The labor guide for the 4 cylinder is 2.0 hours; the 6 cylinder is 4.5 hours. If the labor rate in your area is $100, the cost of labor on the 4 cylinder would be $200 and $450 for the six cylinder. The price of the oil pump and gasket is $325 at the honda dealer I called. you also need oil for another $20 and an oil filter for another $10. Keep in mind that dealers are independently owned and operated and they can charge whatever they want or whatever the market will bear. My experience is that the labor price will be above the 'book time' by as much as 50% so you may pay $300 for labor on the 4 cylinder and up to $650 on the 6 cylinder. That's the tough part of your question because each dealer sets their own policy on pricing. Same on the parts; the 'list' is only a suggested price from honda. dealers will almost always charge in excess of the list price. hope that helps

Q: How can I find the brand of my car stereo?
I am looking for an auxiliary input adapter for my 2006 Honda Accord LX Sedan, but I want to know what the brand of my car stereo is. I looked in the manual and it's not there. Where can I find it? I have to remove the lower center console (it's actually a compartment) to be able to see whatever the brand is. The stereo came with the car, so it should be Honda, then. Thanks for you help. I already ordered the auxiliary input that is compatible with the car.

A: It is a honda made stereo system. It should be under the lift-up lid on your center console.

Q: What audio format do most cars read in their CD player?
My mom wants me to put some songs in a CD for her to listen in her car. My mom says it can't read mp3. I don't know for sure though. She has a Honda Accord 2006 LX.

A: Most cars only read regular CD format, but a lot of new cars are able to read MP3. I believe the deck will say mp3 somewhere on its face if it reads it, but more than likely it will only read regular cd format.
